Let’s start with the key! Yes, it has changed! I previously showed you a similar key during the walkaround of the concept cars two years ago. This new key looks sleek and stylish, featuring six buttons that are seamlessly integrated into the design. However, I still find it puzzling where one would attach a key ring since there’s no visible space for it.

Innovative Functions

- Lock/Unlock & Electric Boot Release: The key offers functionalities like lock/unlock and an electric boot release button.

- AC Functionality: Notably, there’s an AC button—since these are electric cars, pressing this button allows the AC to circulate and adjust the temperature based on the external heat or cold.

 Exterior Design

Moving on to the exterior, we have impressive LED projector headlights, a fog lamp at the bottom, and a total of six parking sensors across the vehicle. The DRL runs throughout the top, and there's an illuminated BE logo that lights up under specific conditions, adding a unique touch.

Wheelbase and Size

Both the BE 6e and XEV 9e share a wheelbase of approximately 2.77 meters. However, they differ in size, with the BE 6e being more compact at around 4.3 meters in length and a ground clearance of 207 mm. This compact size is designed for a fun driving experience.

Battery Options

The BE 6e offers two battery pack options: a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh blade battery, which is touted as one of the best technology available. The base variant starts at around Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom), offering an impressive range of over 300 km, with potential to reach 400-450 km under ideal driving conditions.

Now, let’s shift our focus to the Mahindra XEV 9e. The key design remains consistent with the BE 6e, but the look is more pronounced with a typical EV aesthetic. The XEV 9e features a coupe-like design that some might find less appealing than traditional SUVs.

 Boot and Frunk Space

The boot space is notably larger at 663 liters, making it extremely practical for families or long trips. The frunk offers 150 liters of space, which is a step-up from the BE 6e.

Interior and Features

Inside, the XEV 9e boasts three screens, all 12.25 inches, and a more conventional dashboard design. The layout is practical, with plenty of space for storage and connectivity options, similar to the BE 6e but with minor tweaks to enhance usability.
